A Warm Thanksgiving Table

I find joy in the careful preparation of a pretty table. With the tablescape complete and having curated my fall color combination of Fiestaware, setting the table for Thanksgiving dinner about the layers and careful placement while thinking about the guests who will surround my table this year.
These ivory lace placemats are a nod to great-grandma's hand crocheted doilies. They're a pretty foundation for the dishes. I took time to polish my wedding silverware and iron the colorful cloth napkins. Polishing and ironing take a little effort but are worth the shiny and smooth results. Incorporating the sparkly leaves again, I used narrow ribbon to tie them around the napkins.
The leaf covered napkin makes a nice place to tuck the dinner and salad forks beside the plate. So pretty!
I finished each place setting by setting out vintage amber glasses that I've collected over the years.

It's a table ready for family and friends as we celebrate Thanksgiving together. Blessings to you as you as you prepare for your own special gathering. Savor some quiet moments and enjoy being thoughtful about your preparations.
